We exist to help people KNOW, GROW & GO for God‘s glory

At Discovery Church we believe that everyone is created to KNOW and worship God. This relationship is made possible through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, God’s Son. As a church we are committed to helping others come to know God and discover true purpose and meaning in life. We believe that God is most glorified in us when we learn to trust and find satisfaction in Him alone.

At Discovery Church we believe that God wants us to GROW in the gospel and knowledge of Him. This happens primarily through community and Bible study. We believe we are created to do life-together, not alone.  As a church we are committed to providing environments where we can fellowship together, study and apply God’s Word together, pray together, serve together and enjoy life together.

At Discovery Church we believe that God uses ordinary people do to extra-ordinary things to GO and change the world.  He has given each person gifts, talents and resources that should be used to advance the gospel. As a church we believe God has entrusted us to share the hope of the gospel in our community and world by serving others in tangible ways both inside and outside the four walls of the church.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

II Corinthians 5:20

Meet the Discovery leadership team

Alan – Lead Pastor
Rick – Elder Candidate
Missy – Children’s Director
Paul – Hospitality Director
Kelsey – Secretary
At Discovery Church we know that visiting a church is never easy and can be overwhelming.  We want to make your first time experience as welcoming and friendly as possible.

When you arrive at Discovery you will experience a welcoming coffee-shop style environment.  Feel free to grab something to drink and check in your kids (if you have any).  Dress is casual so feel free to wear jeans, or something comfortable.

We sing and worship because God is worthy of our praise.  Each week we sing together about and to God to remind one another of his amazing grace and love poured out through Jesus into our hearts by his Spirit.  Lyrics are projected on a big screen for everyone to follow.

During our worship time, we have childcare for infants and toddlers, and a special service for all kids 5th grade and under. Feel free to check your kids in before one of our services and let them enjoy playing, singing, and learning about Jesus in a kid-friendly environment with teachers who love to engage our kids with the love of Jesus.

We are committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus as the central story taught through the accurate explanation of Scripture. The pastor’s message is a primary aspect of our service and lasts between 30 and 45 minutes.

How looking back can help you to move forward
Do you feel frustrated or discouraged? Alan discusses how looking back can actually help you to move forward in times of discouragement and frustration. The key is looking back and remembering the right things.
